Description

The database "Community Environmental Justice Strategies and Tools for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation" provides examples of free and accessible resources and materials, as well as guidance on knowledge, experiences, and techniques that will enable communities and the general public to identify actions to address climate challenges.

Under the framework of the CEJN project, climate change adaptation and mitigation tools, from an environmental justice perspective, are defined as a set of methods, techniques, instruments and strategies developed by communities and/or organizations in North America that strengthen the capacity of ecosystems and communities themselves to increase resilience and reduce the effects of climate change while promoting environmental equity and eliminating pre-existing inequalities.
