René LaPointe Jameson

René LaPointe Jameson is a community organizer and environmental engineer passionate about health equity and environmental justice. René earned her BS in Environmental Engineering from Tufts University with a self-designed focus on the root causes of environmental issues, capitalism, colonialism, and white supremacy. René is a Tufts Balfour Scholar, recipient of the Presidential Award for Civic Life, and CDC Undergraduate Scholar. Today, René completes research and advocacy with marginalized communities disproportionately exposed to environmental hazards. She has lived and conducted research around the world. She is also the founder and leader of the Boston HUB of the national nonprofit Black Girl Environmentalist.
