Jeff Renfrow has been living and working along the Big Bend reach of the Rio Grande/Río Bravo border and its watershed for the last 35 years. During this time, he has worked as a river guide and restoration ecologist and has deep ties to the people and places on both sides of the border. He has worked extensively with managing agencies and communities on the US and Mexican sides to improve resiliency of the region’s land and people.
When not working as Director of Rio Bravo Restoration, Jeff can often be found floating a river somewhere for fun or building something in his shop.
Río Bravo Restoration is a 2022–2024 NAPECA grant recipient for the project Socio-environmental Capacity Building for COVID and Climate Change in Rural Communities of the Rio Grande/Bravo.
