Gorillas dressed up as detectives and checked every cupboard, drawer and fridge corner to find food that needed to be eaten fast as they were about to expire. We found oatmeal and bananas. Gorillas looooove bananas!
The gorillas wanted to know what to do with the bananas and the oatmeal that were about to go bad so they decided to do some research into Food Traditions related to bananas and oatmeal. After some research and a few calls to Grandma Gorilla, we found out about the Mexican tradition called "Día de Muertos" where Mexican gorillas prepare wonderful meals to celebrate their dearly departed. They all share this meals on November 2nd. Grandma Gorilla told us about the wonderful "día de muertos" family recipe of banana-oatmeal pancakes!!! Gorillas celebrated like little monkeys!
Little gorillas planted tomato seeds. It is true, gorillas and soil is a messy combination but we managed. Then we watered and waited... and watered and waited... and watered and waited. Little seedling said hi to the gorillas! Gorillas did the happy gorilla dance. Seedling grew into a plant. We watered, kept track and waited. Little plant is not so little any more and is beautiful. Oh yes, gorillas like tomatoes too!! :)
Gorillas and tomatoes!
