Contract Disclosure Policy

Montreal, 15 January 2007 – Acting on its commitment to the principles of transparency and value for money in procurement, the Secretariat of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation has adopted a policy mandating the public disclosure of all contracts for consultant services.

The disclosure policy will be mandatory for all consultant service contracts entered into by the Commission on or after 1 September 2006. Disclosure will consist of the name of the consultant as well as the start and end dates, object, and amount of the contract. This information will be published on the Commission’s web site and will be updated every calendar quarter thereafter.
